ABOUT
Outpost #31 was founded by Todd Cameron in October 2001. We have been the #1 fan site and resource for the film since our launch, and offered fans the opportunity to view the film on 35mm at our annual THING-FEST event which ran from 2001 to 2008. We had actor Thomas G. Waites (Windows) attend the final event in Toronto, Canada.
In the summer of 2003 Todd Cameron and the late Steve Crawford were the first fans to find and explore the filming location, venturing up to the remote site in Stewart, British Columbia, Canada. They found remains and fragments of the Outpost #31 camp set and wreckage from the Norwegian helicopter. Steve also contributed greatly to many areas including the Maps, Timeline, and FAQs. Sadly, Steve passed away in November 2008 and he is missed by many.
Tony Chefles ran the website from 2010 through 2016, setting up excellent interviews, fully covering the prequel, as well as ongoing updates.
In June 2017 Todd completely re-built the Outpost #31 site for the film's 35th Anniversary. He is the author of Snowblind, a backstory novel to the film, and the companion anthology Fragments of the Outpost. You can find out more about Todd's books, as well as receive a free copy of his novella Midnight Pass here: www.toddcameron.net.
